HP has a special that expires the next Sunday (Nov. 19th) on some of their HP Pavillion Desktop PCs.

In this case, it is the a1650 series of the HP Pavilion desktop computers, which are designed for entertainment and power computing.

HP is offering both the AMD-based and Intel-based customizable a1650y models, at prices starting at $599.

The Intel-based models range from the Pentium 4 HT Technology 3.0GHz to the 3.4 GHz Pentium D 950. The AMD-based models range from the AMD Athlon 64 3500+ up to the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Dual Core.

You can also choose among other configuration options, such as Windows XP Home, Windows XP Media Center or Windows XP Professional, the amount of memory, the hard drive size, graphics card, and other choices that let you decide what you make the choices between price and performance.
